We said our goodbye's to family and headed to Lake Tahoe-land of the biggest pinecones I've ever seen! We went on a long walk and stayed in a very posh hotel, the new Marriot Grand Residence, I highly recommend it, though the service could use a little polishing. We ate Bar-b-que at Womack's Texas BBQ and went to a casino where we were busted for playing the slots with Harper. Who would have known? We sure didn't know that you can't gamble with your kids, humm, on second though, maybe that should have been a given! Lake Tahoe is so beautiful, I could live there, but on the California side of course. Harper has learned that chickens say bock-bock-bock, the funniest part is that you show her a picture and say 'what does a chicken say?' and she says bock-bock, then when we feed her chicken and tell her to 'eat her chicken', she also says bock-bock! After Lake Tahoe it was time for the big drive home. I got stopped doing 86 through Nevada, but didn't get a ticket--yippee! We got all the way from Lake Tahoe to Green River, UT where we spent the night. Next morning we got up and drove the rest of the way home, stopping in Montrose to pick up our Christmas tree (as if we didn't already have enough stuff in the car)! And that was our Thanksgiving trip...
