OK, what's up with these pictures making me look fat?! Ok, that aside, we are in California!!!!! Yippee! I have been waiting for this trip all fall! We drove here and stayed in Ely, Nevada overnight. I highly recommend NOT staying in Ely. Ugh...nothing to eat, so we got McDonalds, and I had a bite and thought I was gonna gag. Harper felt the same, so she had cottage cheese for dinner, and some bread. Other than that, the drive wasn't that bad, but roadtrips were easier when Harper was younger. Now she wants to get out of her seat and crawl around, and doesn't sleep much. Once into California we went to Nanny and Papa's from Sunday until Saturday. Mike worked on T-mobile at Starbucks and Harper and I visited relatives, then I got some freedom while Mom and Nanny took care of Harper. We did a few photo shoots, look for cute pictures (I hope) in your X-mas cards...then on Saturday we went up to Paige and Cricket's 'Mottage' in Santa Cruz, two blocks from the beach. Such fun! And such a great place--an old historic cottage in the Seabright district. Harper discovered that she digs waves and wanted to be let loose on the beach, only problem was that she can't quite walk yet and I wasn't about to have her eating sand. We also went to visit Aunt Marge in La Selva, such a beautiful beach and cliffs near her house!
